The KUMARA departed London on 9 January, 1909 and arrived in Port Chalmers on 23 February, 1909, with Captain A. Morton in command.

A number of passengers are coming to New Zealand by the Shaw-Savill steamer Kumara, which left London on the 9th January, and is due at Dunedin on the 25th inst.
